Its an unfortinite thing that i'm talking about this, but it seems that I'm forced to. With membership dramatically low, a war thread which has actually done the exact OPPOSITE of what it was supposed to do(this war was supposed to bring more activity into the site), and the fact that we seem to be on our last legs, The following topic has come up;
A complete Site Re-Set to the year 2018.
This would erase any events that have happened so far, and would reset us back to our start. There are, though, some perks to this. Some people may of done something they regret, and they wish that they hadn't done(say, the fact that Giovanni Died). You'd be able to fix that.
In addition, we'd be able to better organize the site. I've been meaning to add guides and new things to the creation section such as the ability to make an empire. An empire would consist of more than one country, but would require a far better application instead of just making a world leader. In addition, you'd have to make the Empire in addition to your character.
I'm willing to let you guys keep your character limits, but its up to you if you want to use your old character or make up a new one. Personally, I'm going to bring back Giovanni.
If we do happen to do the system restart, I'll make sure to move all the topics down to the archive, so they aren't deleted, but they aren't in the way. If you want a certain topic back, simply go down to the archive.
Finally, if we do happen to do this restore, I'm going to start advertising, Alot more. I've been nervous to advertise because we're so far into this war, and with little activity, new members might be scared.
Its a tough choice, but what do you think?

I'll be honest with you on a few things. One I think this is probably a good idea. Our activity is extremely low right now and restarting might bring some new people. But also to tell the truth I have been losing interest in this site. By restarting I might get interested into it again, by creating a new leader and doing a new nation, and maybe this would be with other old members, bringing them back as well.

I've been talking alot in the past hour with someone from WWIIRPG(You and Johann will know him, but no one else. Its masterson) and he brought up alot of good points, including having a designated board for War instead of just the International Media.
I also brought up the idea of, when doing the restart, have a few things to de-stabilize The globe, such as the Russian invasion of Europe being beaten back, the Fall of Great Britain from Power, and such.

We should reorganize the military boards, like one for each of the continents. Also we should start off with some certain situations, like maybe a few revolts with government switches, some natural disatours, etc. to give members to start something before the members create things themselves. Also we should redo the moderation of wars, and generally make them harder, (I don't think I've seen a member ever lose a war).

Yeah, thats a good idea. So say you're going to war with croatia, you can simply put that topic in the European Continent board of the War Section.
I also agree with you on both the Moderation of Wars and the whole option of events that change the world we're coming into. I don't think i've ever seen a person lose a war on this site either, and though usually we haven't had a problem with that(because of the fact most of the time its been just us, and we're invading weaker countries).
We should get a list together of things that'll de-stabilize the globe that we're entering. Any suggestions? One of mine is, perhaps, the fall of Britain from power on earth. Say there's a civil war going on between a fascist group and a communist group struggling for power.

Maybe, I was also thinking of a few things...
1. Due to the decline of Britain and such, Canada could possibly have a major shift in power and turn communist or facist, providing an interesting theater in the Americas. 2. Civil Wars could rage through Africa, causing a few powerful African nations that might even rival European to come through, with also a large amount of population displacement and strife. 3. The Koreas could go to war and either South or North could win. 4. Due to the defeat of Russia and its weak military several Eastern European nations could rise up and gain land, growing in power. 5. Several other European or Asian nations could also have government changes to more communist or facist.
The reason I have so many government changes is because all the world leaders have died the naitons would be in termoil. This would allow the communist or facist parties to have a much easier time to stage a rebellion, coup, etc. and take power.

Another thing i forgot to mention that came up with Mr. Masterson; Temporary time freeze
Him and i decided it'd probably be a good idea to have a temporary time freeze on the site, to get your nations situated, topics up, and all that. You can still have wars and the sort, diplomacy, the usual, but the year/month'll be frozen until we're situated. Then we'll probably go back to the usual week-per-month thing.
Edit;
I also agree with the drastic change in governments and the sort. We should make the world less stable, and a few nations should be involved in civil wars, which People that rule nations may or may not choose to be involved in.

The Time Freeze sounds like a good idea, it'll let new members and old members that want to change have time to situate themselves, and make it so they won't freak out when their still planning out their government and suddenly they're in war with seven member nations.

General Burkhalter says:
Like walter stated, we should have things that de-stabilize the earth and numerous civil wars and changes of government, ect. He suggested North and South Korea going to war, and one of the two winning. taking the other over. I think South should win, only because of the fact they'd have the USA on their side
Andrew says:
Absolutely not. So much changing and shitstorming will only cause confusion amongst players and aggrevation.
General Burkhalter says:
O.o Well not alot of it but some things that would make it interesting I suggested a fall from power for England such as a civil war which would then, in turn, have canada going to fascism or communism because her former mother country has changed
Andrew says:
I say let people come in and pick countries first and get a good some of players and let them play out some events for a while causing so much shit before someone takes a nation may hamper their decision
Andrew(masterson) has a good point here. If we do actually do alot of these events, we should wait a little while to do them to let other countries and people settle in before we start it. Starting these events Immediately may scare possible members away. Perhaps we can start these events After the time freeze ends?
