It was a headline ripped straight out of a nightmare. Explosion on Navy Ship Kills Dozens.A bomb detonation aboard a US destroyer has left over a hundred sailors dead and dozens more wounded or missing. The bold attack occurred within an hour of the destroyer's departure from Hampton Roads, bound for the Persian Gulf for six months. No one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack despite such a heavy loss of men and ship. NCIS, the Navy's chief law enforcement entity, has taken the lead in the investigation, with assistance from the FBI and local police. The pressure is on to find answers to dozens of questions stirred up by the destroyer's loss. Most prominent amongst them is 'Who did this?' And 'Will it happen again?' In the world of counter-terrorism, nothing is as it seems. There has already been one attack. Intelligence suggests there may be another. This adds another question to the list: 'Where might it happen, and how can we stop it?' The investigation is on, as people do their best to carry on with their daily lives in the wake of the tragedy. Agents struggle to balance their regular workload with this case, while families and comrades affected by the attack strive to go on living. One thing is clear. Life, for many, will never be the same. The question for you is, where do you stand amidst all of this?
