Name: Teodosio del Olmo
Age: 46
Gender: Male
Nationality: American (Free State)
Religion: Catholic
Political Party: People’s Party for Freedom and Democracy
Position/Rank: President of the American Free State
Weight: 175lb
Height: 5’10”
Hair Color: Brown
Eye Color: Brown
Personality(What is your character like? How does he act? At least 2 well written paragraphs, Please.): Like any Latino man, Teodosio is a man’s man. He will fight for what is his. Honor and chivalry play a large role in his world of perfectionism. His rule over the American Free State has been defined by his ruthless oppression of dissidents, as few as there may be. Not only is he a ruthless oppressor, but he is secretive about it; he values the devotion of his people to the higher principles he so often upholds (with exceptions).
Of course, every man has his weaknesses and Teodosio is not without them. His personality has an overriding arrogance, something he hides for the crowds, but another thing his staff is painfully aware of. He is arrogant of his own power, and of the American Free State, as well. No man shall challenge him, nor his country and live not to regret it. Beyond his great weakness of arrogance, Teodosio also has a habit of drinking too much on the night out, coming from the old Chilean region, where wine is king.
Aside from his anger and arrogance, lies also a softer, more human side. Teodosio does everything for his country and he honestly wants to make the lives of his countrymen better. He does not tire in the defense nor the support of his people. Few words describe him: proud, arrogant, smart, humane, angry, cool, protective, drunk, caring.
Character History (What has your characters life been like? What has he/she accomplished?): Born in Santiago, Teodosio, grew up in a nation where the rich and the poor lived together on the same street. He was one of the middle class, wanting to be rich, but not quite poor. He attended school, was sent abroad to learn English, German, and Russian, and came back to South America around the time of the revolutions, the rise of a new Bolivarian feeling and the eventual formation of the American Free State.
Teodosio was not a leader in the revolution, like most of the presidents before him. He was a newcomer, having just finished studies abroad, he got a job in the new American government. With his degree in International Relations, he was immediately employed by the Ministry of State and was sent directly to Caracas, where the capital of the new nation was temporarily placed. His time there was quickly marked by good work and efficiency, getting him quick promotions.
His work in the US relations and the lift of the embargo on the old Cuban state, earned him a seat at the Deputy Minister of State’s table of advisors. His sudden promotion gained him even more attention from above. When the Minister of State retired and the Deputy became the actual Minister of State, Teodosio went with him.
It was then that he began taking control over European relations, making much headway with the new powers that had formed there. He was finally assigned to Deputy Minister when the position opened after a premature death.
No sooner had he set up office than had the Minister of state run for President in the election of 2018. Teodosio moved up to Minister of State and began running a first class operation. His chance finally came in 2020 when the depression was almost over and the president was impeached. He saw his chance to run for the top office. Choosing the Minister of Defence for his Vice-President he began campaigning and eventually won the election with 80% of the vote.
With his new mandate and new office, he began building the country up, commissioning a new capital to be built in the rainforest, from nature. Caracas would soon be just another city and no longer the power house of the American Free State. By 2013, the constitution was amended, giving Teodosio a ten year term with new term limits. America would be his to rule until his death with the help of some rigged elections. Of course, he did it for his country. He knew that he was the only person who could possibly lead them correctly into the future.
