This is a small start to a possible situation. Please do not ask what the main picture is. There may be an add-on to this.
"Hello, it has been reported from the Military that a cargo ship was found off the coast of Baffin Island (In the Baffin Sea). A official reported to us that the ship had come from nowhere. It is thought it had went around Greenland and was going down towards Iqaluit. Officials say they had sent repeated messages to the ship but no reply. It was thought that the crew may not be able to message but a military helicopter saw the crew walking around the top decks and could see men through the windows, no sign of anything "bad". The helicopter radioed back telling Officials this. Further messages were sent but no reply.
After this, it was decided that a party would be sent to board the ship via helicopter. Officials will not tell us much more then this. We do not know what happened and do not know where the said ship is. They will say that the ship was from Africa.".
"Well that is interesting! Now to the weather with Bob Marley! Bob.".
The CH-148 Cyclone was going as fast as it could; RADAR had found a unknown ship and it wasn't responding to the messages sent by HQ. The Fire Team (Five Members) sat in the helicopter waiting for the Adrenalin that would soon kick in as they slide down a rope onto the ship. The team was equipped with silenced MP5N's, C8 Carbines, Flash Grenades, and Frag Grenades.
The CH-148 Cyclone came around the Cargo ship, slowing down as it started to stop and hover above the bow of the ship. "Go Go Go" yelled the Captain (in the Fire Team) as one by one the FT members slid down the rope and check the Deck they were on for crew. "Deck is clear, over" said a FT member. The FT quickly went to a door into the bow control room and kicked it open. In a matter of seconds, the FT went through the door, and found the room full of crew members at their posts. "Get on the ground, NOW" yelled the Captain. The crew immediately saw the weapons pointing at them and dropped to the floor. "Tie them up and lets move on" said the Captain to the FT.
After the crew in the bow Control room were all tied up, the FT went to the stairs, checked that it was alright to go down and went down the stairs, watching the captured crew. They moved quickly and silently through the corridor (using their radio's for chatting only) and came to a a short hallway. "Check those rooms!" said a FT member. The FT cleared rooms, clearing the crew quarters. "Alright through the door!" said the Captain. The FT opened and cleared the outside entry to the corridor and quickly found some cover on the main deck among all the cargo containers. "Alright. I want to move through this area fast! Take out all crew you see and make it silent." the Captain said to the FT, then said: "Go!".
The FT swept through the Deck area and cleared it of the crew who were on watch, knowing something was up as the helicopter had come and left (to re-fuel). Finally, the FT came to the end of the Deck area and were hiding behind containers, in front of them the Main control room and its seemingly endless windows. "Alright! Follow me, we're going below-deck. We all know what we're looking for, go!" said the Captain and the FT moved to a door. A FT member quietly opened the door and the FT moved through, checking all corners as they went farther and farther down (This was a rather large Container Ship). Finally they came to stairs that looked to go down into the ship's holds. "Ok! Someone clear the stairs and we clean the holds! Go!" said the Captain.
They went down the stairs and looked down their sights of their weapons, knowing the crew knew as they met no one in the Corridors. They went to a open door, just as a FT Member looked in someone fired a weapon at him. He ducked back. "Wow, found the bastards!" said the FT Member who had looked. "No shit sherlock..." said another FT Member. "Alright. Flash Bang Out!" said a FT Member. they covered their eyes a little and then moved into the door. They easily killed the crew in the hold, though the FT knew the whole ship now knew what was going on. "Ok! We lost our cover! Clean the rest of this fucking ship and lets get out! get the Radiation monitor out too, this ship is foreign, expect anything." said the Captain.
The FT went through three more holds before finding heavy resistance. "Ok! Throw some Grenades at the spots we know are full of the crew and follow up with some Flash Grenades!" said a FT Member. The hold echoed with the explosions of the frags then the echo of gunfire as the crew fired randomly. "FT move up and clear!" said the Captain. The FT moved through, with surprise on their side and cleared the hold. "Sir! look at this! There is radiation in the room a bit..." said a FT Member. "My god... find out where its coming from now!" replied the Captain. After about 1 and a half minutes they found the container holding the Radiation. "Open it." said the Captain (The FT was wearing the proper masks).
"Command, we found something you will want to see, over.". "FT, do not go near it, secure ship and get ready for a transport carrying a crew for the ship." said Command. "And the crew?" asked the Captain. "Expendable, Out." replied Command.
The FT cleared the rest of the ship and took a bag of documents found in the Captains quarters for more information into what the ship was doing here and got onto their CH-148 Cyclone and headed for base, their mission complete.
A News Team tracked down an Official and got this answer:
"The public is not in any need to know what happened. Now do not pester anymore Military Personnel "
Today, The Minister of Defence came out to talk about the Container Ship: Water Lily. We have the whole speech on video so enjoy.
"Fellow Canadians,
I come to you today to tell you about the incident with the container ship. It is now confirmed from documents taken from the ship, it came from the African country Mozambique. It went through area's that were called protected from this sort of thing and made its way to Europe. From there it picked up more cargo and went towards Greenland and disappeared.
The ship then changed its name on the bow and stern while off the Radar. It went around Greenland through the Arctic Sea and then went down through Nunavut, Canada in the Baffin Sea where it was found and captured. It is confirmed that the weapons on board are in safe hands and crew have been captured.
Now I know all of you want to know what those dangerous weapons were. I have permission from the Government. It has been confirmed by the bomb squads that went into the ship that the ship was shipping nuclear material, chemical weapons, and illegal guns. I will say that if the ship was not caught in time, it could be possible that millions of people wouldn't be here. The cargo would have been unloaded in either the Maritimes, Canada or around Maine, U.S.A. .
I cannot stress enough on how glad I am that the Arctic ERT time responded in time and that no one was hurt or killed. This proves why we needed more military personnel in the Arctic, and god I am glad we do. Thank you."
