Germany announced today that it is starting development of a "6th Generation Fighter" that, when completed, will make the F-35 obsolete. Carrier and land versions are being developed.

Deutschland has finally completed the first production model of its new plane, called the Mehrfach Mission Flugzeug, the MMF-6. It's capabilities are not known at this time, but it is known that it is primarily a fighter, attack, and missile intercept. Top speed has been recorded at Mach 3.5, with a current recorded ceiling of 89,000 feet. It is either carrier based or land based.
