The president walked out to the podium in front of the press corps and began.
Hello, ladies and gentlemen. I am here to inform you of the American Free State's military strength and growth in the past year.
We have, in the past year, recruited 15 million men and women into the military.
General Ymallas has informed me that predicted recruitment for this year will be 20 million.
Military production has moved into a surplus with the hiring of millions more workers. Weapons, clothing, and industrial building supplies are being produced at a 1350% increase to last year's production.
New bases and defensive bunkers and technologies have been researched and built at record speeds. We have just laid into production three experimental ships and begun extended production of our new stealth fighter-bombers, of which we now have fifty. A new gunship design has been approved and the first prototype has been successfully tested and production will begin within the week. I also directed the Ministry of Development to begin researching body armor for our soldiers, a year ago. Designs are still be researched and a prototype is still being built.
This morning, I directed the ministries of Defence and Development to begin training our soldiers in guerilla warfare tactics in preparation for our future missions abroad.
New ships have been put into water, upgrades from the previous fleet have been redeployed and hundreds more ships have been put into service. Our new naval recruits have boarded and are now docking at undisclosed locations.
The AFS Air force has recieved 100 new aircraft from our experimental division for testing. In addition to those, more than 70,000 new pilots have been trained and are awaiting service.
Current membership numbers are as follows:
Army: 13 million
350,000 tanks, soldiers act as marines and ground forces
Marine (Navy): 1 million
624 ships - 2 super-carriers, 2 carriers (previously owned), 2 battleships, 18 cruisers, 100 submarines, 150 adapted destroyers, 350 destroyers awaiting adaptation
Air Force: 2 million
500,000 various aircraft
Thank you.
