Teodosio had been waiting for this time to come. Now he would have to call his nation to arms against a power that had never offended them. It was a chance, however, to build the nation to a real power. He would bring up his nation to the top. Standing in his plane flying over Europe, he began his address.
America! We are under attack! Our unity, 200 years in the making, is once more threatened by powers that would dominate us and tear our peoples apart. Our coasts are ever threatened by the constant fear of attack from a power we have never offended. Our resources and production are under siege by this power that would destroy all we know and replace it with the despotic police-states we have only just escaped.
From the time of Bolivar our ancestors shed their blood in the fields that feed us and the bodies of traitors litter the topsoil of our mountains and valleys. No place is untouched. Our fathers and mothers died to make this land of which we are so proud, this land which God has touched and graced. We shall not be defeated. No nation shall rule us once more! We are a free people and we shall remain a free and happy people!
So I call upon you, my brothers and sisters, sons and daughters, to go this very moment, take up your pens and your pistols and march you and your friends to City Hall and sign your name on the Petition to Defend our nation. And, be proud my friends, know that you will be there to make our nation the greatest on this earth, known to all man. We shall no longer sit idly by and take what is done to us, accept it. No. those days are over. From this day forward, we shall no longer lie down to the will of the rest of the world. No. We shall rise! We shall be powerful! Join the crusade against fascism!
It was done. It was a short message, but it got the point through. It reminded people of the revolution and the bloodshed and it reminded people that they no longer wanted it on their soil. That time was over. Now was the time for war and Teo would prepare his nation for it. He did not think of what was to come as he signed the collection of documents before him, ordering the factories to being producing war materials, weapons, tanks, ships, and uniforms. In three months, a large enough army could be trained and ready to protect the nation. During the training of the volunteers, the draft would begin.
