In accordance with Executive Order 53, copies of this document shall appear in Spanish, English, Dutch, French, German, and Portuguese.
Written by the Free American Cabinet; sitting president: Teodosio del Olmo.
We, the members of this Cabinet of Free American Affairs, declare the following to be standing policy and the assumed rights of the Free American People and shall act as such.
Every person in the Free American State is entitled to the rights of:
1. Free speech and expression in the public forum.
2. Freedom of religious belief and from religious belief.
3. Freedom from unwarranted search and seizure of personal property.
4. Freedom from trials, risking life or limb, after the first reasonable declaration of guilt or innocence.
5. Freedom of political self-determination
6. Equitable employment
7. Freedom from unfair competition and monopolies
8. Suitable housing
9. Suitable medical care
10. Social Security
11. Group and collective rights
12. Economic and social development
13. A healthy environment
14. Natural resources
15. Participation in cultural heritage
16. Inter-generational equity and sustainability
The following policies are a reflection of the Del Olmo administration (executive orders):
1. All children aged between 6 and 16 must attend school on a regular basis
2. All prisoners of war are to be tried and held under military code
3. Enemies of the state shall be tried in national courts of law
4. Spanish shall be the working language and the number one official language of the American Free State. Other languages shall be protected under minority status upon application to the Sub-Ministry of Cultural Affairs.
5. All citizens of the American Free State must, on their 18th birthday (if not in school then on the 16th), enlist in military or development services at either the Ministry of Defence or the Ministry of Development, respectively.
6. No company or corporation may make sales to foreign buyers without authorization from the national government of the American Free State.
7. All allied and neutral nations may pass, with or without applying fees, through the Panama Canal. All warships headed to battle against the United Peoples' Movement will receive a complimentary fruit basket upon entrance in the canal.
8. All firearms in the hands of civilians must be reported to the Sub-Ministry of Police.
