Slovakin Government Building-
Walter Sobieslaw was seated in his presidential limo as it cruised down the streets of Bratislava. He glanced out the window at the crowds that were walking down the streets, and at the decorations that were strewn about the street. The whole city was in a festive mood, as the opening ceremony of the weeklong celebration for the annexation of Slovakia into the Polish Union was to be held today. At the same time, before he was going to attend the ceremony, he had an important meeting with the leader of Germany, Johann. Walter was interested in giving them Northern Ireland, for many reasons.
As the limo began going down the main street of the city, people began to wave and cheer at the limo once they noticed the presidential seal on the side. Walter smiled at this, most of the Slovakian population was quite happy they were finally going to become part of Poland, which was a very good thing. If he didn’t have the support of the populace, this would never have been able to happen. The limo took a right turn and began heading towards the government building of Slovakia, which will now become the Slovakian branch of the Polish government. The building was currently under renovation and restoration, due to the building having been damaged from the war, some of which have still not been repaired. Also the building was being restored, since it being an old building; some areas were slightly falling apart. Finally the interior was getting a redecoration and refurbishment.
The limo pulled up in front of the building, and after thanking the driver, Walter exited the vehicle and began walking towards the building. Before walking through the gate, Walter glanced up at the flags that were hung in front. Now among the Slovakian flags hung an equal number of Polish flags, signaling the annexation and the fact that Slovakia was now part of Poland. After standing around for a few minutes enjoying the sunny weather, (perfect for the ceremony and celebration), Walter walked through the gate and into the building.
Walter spent the next hour reviewing the building and the renovation, happy at everything that was being done. He talked to a few of the workers, (all Slovakian), about the annexation. All of them stated they were fine with it, and some even said they were glad as they figured that this would help Slovakia. Either they were really happy about the annexation, or they were lying, Walter didn’t mind either way, although he did hope it was the first one. After finishing up his final conversation, Walter walked over to the main presidential office of the building which once held the Slovakian president, now head of the Slovakian branch.
He entered the room and sat down; this was going to be his office for the next week while he was in the city. Unfortunately he still had to work, governing a nation couldn’t wait for a week. He began reviewing files; most of them were on daily reports of the nation’s status, all of which were good. The military was strong, economy was flourishing, people were healthy and happy, and everything else was going good as well. He then picked up another file and was about to begin reviewing it when his secretary walked through the door, alerting him that the leader of Germany was due to arrive in ten minutes. Walter thanked her, put the file away, and began heading towards the front of the building.
After several minutes he arrived at the doorway, ready to greet the Germans as they arrived. He waited around for a bit, thinking about the rest of the day, mainly the ceremony, but also some of the little things. He was planning on going to a restaurant in the city, quite a fancy one, for dinner, so that he could get a taste of ethnic Slovakian food. He was also planning on asking the Germans if they wanted to come, but that would have to wait tell after the meeting.
Walter was snapped out of his thoughts as a limo pulled up in front of the building and stopped. Walter smiled as he saw the Germans begin exiting out of the vehicle, and he began walking down the steps, ready to greet them when they reached him.
