In light of the other nations recent actions to prevent disaster from a “super storm” that will strike our continent somewhere in the near future, we, the nation of Poland, will also take such steps. We are building and upgrading our energy plants, from coal and natural gas, to better alternatives such as hydro and solar. We are also strengthening our cities and towns to prevent freezing damage and damage by wind. We are improving the durability of our underground pipes, and are reinforcing buildings that are located along air tunnels that could potentially channel harsh winds through it. Finally, we are issuing special winter gear to all citizens and soldiers of Poland. Along with the gear, soldiers are getting improved equipment and vehicles, from tanks to helicopters, which will have a better chance in sustaining themselves if caught in the weather.
We are also building special safe houses throughout the cities and in the mountains. These safe houses are located deep in the ground, able to shield everyone inside from harsh winds, precipitation, and cold. In the event of this storm, citizens will be escorted by the military to these safe houses. These areas will contain sufficient food, water, and supplies to last months if needed. Finally, citizens should take their own precautions, for if this storm does hit, everyone will need to work together to allow our great nation to get through it. This is all at the moment; updates will come in the future.

The preparations have been going well so far, as 50% of the army is equipped, 25% of the vehicles are upgraded, 50% of the cities have been issued gear and reinforced, and all the villages outside in the countryside of Poland have been issued gear. Along with this equipment and gear, all citizens have received a packet showing instructions on how to handle any situations, from a simple evacuation to the even that you are trapped in your home. I urge all citizens of Poland to read and practice these, so we can limit, or better yet, stop any casualties from happening in the event of this “super storm.”
We are also roughly 30% done building the safe houses, with many others nearing completion. The ones that are done are now being filled with supplies and equipment. We are attempting to finish these safe houses as fast as we can, and any help from local citizens in constructing them would be extremely helpful and graciously thanked. Also on the line of citizens, farmers and merchants, you may be approached by government officials who are asking for a small amount of your crops or goods. These are going to be placed in the safe house closest to your home. We need a little bit of goods from everyone, so that we can make sure that each safe house is properly supplied. If you wish to donate more than requested, don’t hesitate to do so and just inform your local safe house work crew or staff and give them your goods.
Finally, we have begun extensive research on this “super storm”. Our scientists along with scientists from other nations are studying this storm, trying to figure out what it will be like, and more importantly, a more accurate date of its arrival. Either way we are speeding up preparations, almost double the original speed. This will assure that we will be ready no matter when this storm happens.

The preparation for the “super storm” is almost finished. The army is fully equipped with state of the art gear that can function well in cold weather, 75% of vehicles have been upgraded to cope with possible climate changes, and all citizens of Poland have been handed out all the necessary gear, instructions, and supplies. Also, 75% of the safe houses are finished, and the rest will be built soon. Everything is going according to plan, even faster than was expected. We are sure that all of these precautions will help limit or potentially stop any casualties from occurring, or any damage to the nation of Poland.
We have begun escorting villagers that live in the wilderness far away from a nearby city into the safe houses, or into temporary housing near them. This is to insure that you will get to the safe houses in time, so that we do not have any problems with evacuations. This makes it so that we do not have to launch any search and rescue missions, which could endanger the rescuers, and there is the possibility that we would not be even able to launch the search. If you have any questions on these pre-storm evacuations, just contact your local government official and it will be taken to me, and I will answer them as soon as possible.
We have also begun escorting hospitalized citizens into special hospital safe houses, and elderly citizens into their nearby safe house. This is the same reason as before, so that we do not need to worry about you not making it to the safe house. The hospitalized citizens will get the same care in the special hospital safe houses, as these have been filled with medical equipment for any illness. Families, you may continue to visit the sick and elderly at the safe houses, you will just need to take a different route.
Finally, we have slowly begun temporarily shutting down small factories, farms, airports, and ports, and taking the equipment into protected areas. This will ensure that any vital equipment will hopefully be protected from the future storm, and that production in our nation may continue normally after the storm. Larger and more important industry will also be temporarily shut down, but at a later time. The next update, and possibly the last before the storm strikes, will come soon.

All our precautions towards the “super storm”, all of our defenses, are finished, and just in time. Our scientists have spotted the “super storm” coming for Europe, already striking areas on the Atlantic coast. We have not yet seen any effects of this storm, but we are starting immediate evacuations. All citizens in Poland will be escorted by military personal towards your designated safe house. Take any supplies with you, but please, do not stop to take heirlooms, if you are caught outside during this storm the consequences may be severe. The army is also setting up last minute defenses inside the cities, before they too head over to the safe houses. As for myself and the rest of the government, we will be heading over to our government safe house after this broadcast, where we will be able to communicate with the safe houses and still do our government duties.
The cities have also been well fortified, all buildings are locked up and secured, all equipment placed in defensive areas, and all major monuments and historical areas are fortified extensively to protect them. Starting from this broadcast, all airports, train stations, and other transportation hubs are to be shut down. All planes should be grounded and stored, same with trains and cars. All factories and businesses should be shut down, and everyone sent to the safe houses.
All the safe houses all supplied with everything we need, food, water, medical supplies, etc. to last us and sustain us for over a month, in which the storm should disappear by then. Even so, we will start rationing food, to make it last longer. All safe houses are armed with wireless communications and a back up communicator that runs under the ground, hopefully making it so that it won’t get disrupted by the weather. This will allow all safe houses to communicate about their status during the storm. A small group of scientists have been sent to a fortified station in the mountains by their request. These scientists will observe the storm, getting valuable research beyond imagination. They are well defended in the mountains, they have a specialized safe house of their own, and the storm will hopefully pass by the mountain.
We have taken all precautions that we can at this time, and let us hope that it will be enough to have our nation survive this storm. I bid you all a good day, and once again I beg of you to follow all of these steps, we need everyone to cooperate in this disaster, so that we can get everyone to safety.

The storm has now passed over our country and we can now emerge from our shelters. Our country has been devastated, but by the combined efforts of the Polish citizens, all is not lost. Many are still alive, and although much was destroyed, our nation can still survive. For the thousands that have died, we will remember you.
We are now beginning the plan that we have laid out, Operation Rebirth. We are cleaning up all debris and material that has allocated inside cities and the countryside. We are also beginning the rebuild all the damaged and destroyed buildings in cities and villages, from businesses to monuments to the average house, we are rebuilding. We are also sending massive search and rescue missions looking for any survivors, if you are out there and can hear this broadcast, help is on the way and we will find you. The military will be aiding most of these operations, but citizens are welcome to help. In this time all the help that we get will be greatly appreciated. We need to rebuild as fast as we can, so that our nation can prosper once again.
We are also willing to help neighboring nations in the same way as this. From our allies in Italy and Germany, to other nations such as Ukraine and Slovakia, if you need aid, we will send as much as we can.
More updates on this operation will come in the future.
