Leonardo is a very soft spoken man, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t get angry. He doesn’t stand for the kind of bullshit that usually clogs up the General Staff, and is known to have fits of rage when their arguing is holding back key military decisions, or even holding back the front from moving ahead. He does not care for being 'Politically Correct', and when commanding his men, accepts nothing but complete victory.
It takes many months, if not years, to gain the trust of Leonardo. As a child, he easily gained trust, but as the years went by, the ability to gain his trust required more and more work, eventually making it very hard, if not impossible, to gain.
His work in the OSS has made him a very hard man, and he does not even flinch when a bomb is dropped, a grenade goes off, or a plane flies over-head. He has seen things that even most special forces soldiers will not see, and because of that he has grown a tolerance towards the sight of things such as blood, and soldiers badly mangled by war.
Character History:
Born the Twentieth of April, 1980, to a wealthy family on the coast of a small town in Tuscany, Part of Italy, Leonardo Rossette’s family had roots as Generals in Italian History. His grandfather was a general in the Italian General Staff under Benito Mussolini, his Great Grandfather was a Marshal under the King of Italy during World War One, and even father back, the men in his family can be traced to the General Staff of Italy, and the men in his family are almost immediately expected to become generals in the Italian Armed Forces.
Leonardo was an average child. He didn’t really know the history of his ancestors in the Italian Military, and even when he heard stories from his grandfather as a child, and ultimately, as a teenager, he didn’t really take much notice of it. His parents had not yet informed him that he would be expected to become a General in the Italian Armed forces. He was a rebellious child, and eventually, a rebellious teenager, and got arrested at-least six times as a teenager. He was viewed by the people of the town as a teenager that needed the discipline that the Military would give, and it would come.
He finally found out about his expected fate at the age of Seventeen. As he was growing close to graduating his schooling, and going off to a University, His parents told him that he was expected to go to a prestigious military school, and that he had to continue the reign of great Generals in his family. He refused, but after more than a year of pressure, he Gave in, and Gave Up, signing up for the Italian Officers Core.
At the time, the Italian Revolution was at full blast, and the University he’d begun to learn at had chosen the Revolutionist Side from the start. The students at the University were trained and taught in the ways that the coming Fascist Government would Run. They were prepared for the hard times the Empire would see, and eventually, the greatness that would come. The Rebellion inside of Leonardo was crushed by the University, and soon he was turned into a good soldier.
Because of his families history of being Generals, Leonardo was carefully trained, carefully raised, and carefully picked and primped by the Teachers and Military Officers of the University, and when he graduated from the University, he Graduated Top of His Class, with the great rank of Sottotente, Second Lieutenant. He was far from the Rank of General, but at the age of only Twenty years old, he had years to get up to that rank.
The revolution was long over by now, and as the year 2000 came and went, He found himself participating in numerous training activities and war-games funded by the Government. During a Huge Parade in Rome, he got the opportunity to meet the greatest man in Italian History, Giovanni Facilli himself. He was a great man, and an inspiration to Leonardo. With renewed belief in the Empire, he continued to work for the better of the Italian Empire. Because of his work, by the year 2010, He’d reached the rank of Maggiore, Or Major. He was still only Thirty, and it was becoming clear to the Entire Italian General Staff that this man, with roots in Italian Generalship, was going to replace them sooner or later.
As the Italian Empire Mobilized for war in 2019 against Austria and Lichtenstein, Leonardo found himself riding atop a tank, yelling orders to soldiers and other Tank Commanders as they stormed across the border of Austria, their treads ripping the smooth, flowing fields of Austrian Grass to pieces. For his duty against the Austrian Forces, he was Promoted to Colonnello.
One Rank away from General, During the Year of 2020, he found himself being given the position as a desk-Jockey for the Office of Strategic Services when the Italian Forces stormed across the Borders of Switzerland, Leonardo realized that he had no opportunity to reach the rank of General, even a One Star, when he was sitting at a desk filling out Papers.
He walked right into the meeting of Four 3-Star Generals, and demanded that he himself be promoted to a Generale di brigata, Brigadeer General, because the fact that he was a Colonel at the age of Forty was insulting to his Family, and insulting to the entire Italian Officers Core. The generals threatened to have him Court-Martial for Such Actions, and he countered that threat with his own, stating that he would go to Giovanni Himself in a request for a Promotion. They took his threat without a grain of thought, and they found out he was a man of his word.
He had a meeting with the Emperor four days later, and after stating his reasons why he believed he deserved a promotion, he found himself getting more than that, Being promoted to Generale di Corpo d'Armata, and replacing one of the generals he had argued with. He also got himself a seat on the Italian General Staff board.
In 2021, He himself planned almost the entire invasion of France, and it is stated that the only reason France didn’t go down sooner, was because he wasn’t given more time to plan it.
To this day, he maintains his position on the Italian General Staff board, and has become the Head of the Italian Office of Strategic Services. He is considered one of the Brightest Generals in the entire Italian Empire, if not the World, and often enough, His services are contracted off by the Italian Government to other Nations, should they be able to pay the staggering price of having such a brilliant General for a Year.
Rumor has it that he was contracted off for Services under Kaiser Wilhelm the Fourth during the First German Civil War of the Twenty First Century, and although that is argued, he wears an Iron Cross, of the Rank of Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross, with Gold Oak Leaves, Swords, and Diamonds. Said award was only given out for a short amount of Time, and it was only under Kaiser Wilhelm the Fourth before the Second German Civil War. In addition, he was awarded, by the same Kaiser, the Pour le Mérite, or the 'Blue Max', and wears that around his neck in addition to the Knights Cross. He is pictured in numerous scenes wearing a German Uniform, which leads many to believe that he was contracted out to lead the forces under Kaiser Wilhelm IV.
